Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Pedro Ponte Castañeda from the University of Pennsylvania, USA Professor Ponte is known internationally for his outstanding contributions in the fields of micromechanics and composite materials. He has made seminal contributions to the theory of nonlinear homogenization. Professor Ponte's work blends ingenious mathematical methods with keen physical insights. During his stay in Germany, he intends to collaborate on evolving instability-driven microstructures in magneto/electro-active composites, their numerical tracking by relaxation techniques, and their exploitation as sensors and actuators with enhanced performance. Professor Ponte is hosted by Professor Christian Miehe at the University of Stuttgart. |
